In April 2014, Jennifer Strain, owner of Good Fortune Soap, a locally owned business in Chattanooga, TN, purchased VivVere LLC, a Chattanooga Candle Store with a globally philanthropic vision. Strain’s personal friend and founder of VivVere, Coco McCain, shares the vision of eco-friendly and high quality ingredients to produce luxurious scented candles with a purpose.
McCain is the wife, mother, and Chattanooga citizen who created VivVeŕe Living Candles in November 2009. From the very beginning, her vision for the business was clear: to shine a light on good in life and to share its power to touch lives.
“VivVere seemed like a perfect fit for Good Fortune Soap. We love that with each candle sold, milk is donated to a child in need in the Dominican Republic,” says Strain. “Plus, the beautiful packaging of these naturally scented, soy candles fits perfectly in our new boutique and spa on Broad Street.”
With amber and patchouli from West Africa, bergamot from Italy, and lavender from France, one can smell the inspiration. The sights and sounds of exotic places near and far inspire each scented candle. The newest scent, Magnolia & Moss was featured in Garden & Gun Magazine and tells the story of Southern heritage.
Each glass jar candle, filled with natural soy wax, touches a different corner of our beautiful earth and reflects the life in it. The name VivVere is derived from the Latin for “to live” or “to be alive,” and Good Fortune Soap plans to continue this living legacy of “being the change” in the world through charitable opportunities.
Future plans for VivVere include continuing to sell the candles online and wholesale to select boutiques around the United States. We also plan to grow the company later this year by expanding the scent collection in to a luxury body care line. Visit Good Fortune Soap’s beautiful boutique and spa located at 2644 Broad Street in Chattanooga, TN to smell all 13 candle scents.
